Rohan, Vrinda, Logan and I went to see the Phineas and Ferb musical this morning.  Stuart and I did not tell Logan about the show until last night and we did not hype it too much either.  So this morning Logan did not seem too excited about it until we actually arrived at the theater.  This was a nice size theater and we had relatively good seats (2nd row in the 2nd floor section).  The boys sat down nicely and were curious about the show while waiting 20 minutes before it started.  The musical was actually quite well done with good music.  A few minutes into the show, there was a big boy (prob 12-13 yr old) came running to sit in the empty seat right in front of us.  He had several stuffed Phineas and Ferb dolls with him; he was so excited swinging them in the air while watching the show and dancing in his chair.  He was distracting but Logan and I were still able to see around him.  However, Rohan was not able to see too well through the first section of people, so Vrinda suggested for us to move to the side balcony as it was mostly empty.  The seats there were actually more comfortable and the viewing angle was still good, so all of us enjoyed the show until the intermission. 

    We had run into a family from Logan’s previous school earlier, and so they stopped by to say hi to us during the intermission and later decided to come sit with us too.  All four boys had fun playing around the few empty rows around us during the break.  When the show resumed, both Logan and Rohan focused on it again.  The total show time was quite short, just a little over an hour, therefore, all of us were engaged and enjoyed the show the entire time.  That family had purchased a souvenir gun for their boys that had interested both Rohan and Logan.  Vrinda had given in and got one for Rohan too, and so of course, Logan really wanted one.  I nicely declined Logan and fortunately he did not give me much fuss about it.  During our walk back to the parking lot along with the crowds, out of the blue, Logan went from happy mood to grumpiness.  He tried to let go of my hand while crossing the street and stopped walking at times until we reached the car. 

   Logan’s attitude had definitely dampened my mood a bit, but we still enjoyed the show and the morning together.

Finally putting up some of my favorites from our Sept photo shoot.  Seeing Michelle’s photos collection and the awesome pic with Mckayla jumping, I was reminded that Logan was also asked by the photographer to take a jump, but Logan declined.

    Stuart had asked Logan before today what they should get me for my birthday; Logan thought about it and answered “Pizza…tank…hat”.  A couple of nights ago during bath, Logan suggested that we go to Chuck E Cheese for my birthday dinner.  I responded that the place is for kids birthdays but not for adults, then Logan said “Why not? It is fun there!”.

   This morning when Logan woke up and came out of this room, he immediately gave me a birthday card.  Apparently Stuart helped him writing the card for me last night and he actually remembered on his own to bring it to me.  It was a Star Wars birthday card that he picked and inside it said “Happy Birthday!  I love you very much because you have a birthday!”  This was written by Stuart as dictated by Logan.  Connor later also handed me a card (an Elmo one) and he was very good in saying “Happy Birthday Mommy!” to me too.

    Stuart and I took a day off together to celebrate.  After dropping off the kids to schools, we went out for breakfast then to Gilroy outlets for some shopping.  We shopped for a long time, and we got goodies for us and the boys.  As we were full from breakfast, we did not stop for lunch until 2pm.  We did some grocery shopping before going home.  By then, 4pm, we both were exhausted; we ended up taking a TV break and a short nap before picking up the kids.  We went out to eat once again for dinner, and became stuffed all over again.

   The kids were very excited to go home for a special treat, ice cream cake (our favorite).  The boys sang me the birthday song and we all enjoyed a small piece of cake.  The boys and I had to do some dancing afterward to burn off the calories and sugar high.  Now I am relaxing and remembering the fun full day that we had!

    Robyn shared this cute questionnaire with me today.  She asks Brandon and Peyton every year around their birthdays.  I love the idea, so I asked Logan tonight.

20. What do you want to be when you grow up?  Logan thought about this for a long time, then finally said “Spiderman”.

To clarify, Logan’s current favorite stuffed toy is a dinosaur which was a baby gift for Logan that I brought out for him yesterday.  He named him “Dino Two” as Dino (his previous dinosaur) has disappeared.  Logan still loves Teddy, sometimes Chipmunk or stuffed crayon as well.

    We went to the Hashiguchi’s yesterday afternoon for a TV football game event; they had several other friends/families for the gathering too.  Connor was drawn to the toy kitchen right away and enjoyed his time making food for us.  Logan did not play with Ashley, Hailey or Kasey too much, but asked Connor to play with him instead.  Logan and Connor ended up enjoying TV watching in the playroom; Logan was so relaxed, laying on the sofa, while watching the show.  We all had fun hanging out, eating and watching the game.  From what I understand, it was a close game that kept everyones interest throughout.  Toward the end of the day, all the kids gathered in the playroom watching the TV together.  At times, the big girls would play with Logan and Connor, setting up bowling pins for them to knock down.  At one point one of the twins friends came over to me and told me I should come take a picture.  Wondering what was going on I quickly followed her with my camera.  She had surrounded Connor with bowling pins and they both seemed pleased with the situation. We stayed late until the game was over, and by then, Logan even asked if he could spend the night with them too. 

   This morning we had Rohan’s and Bar’s families over to our house for a get-together.  As soon as Rohan arrived, Logan, Connor and Rohan immediately started chasing each other, giggling and having so much fun.  Connor ran so fast after the big boys that he he fell a couple of times, but that did not stop him at all.  When Bar and Raz arrived, the kids played together, but the girls often stayed by themselves away from the boys.  We had a good time together as usual, and afterward, Connor slept well during his nap, and Logan still preferred to have a quiet time to play alone instead.

    Since the boys always wear the same shoes everyday to everywhere, their shoes get worn out fast.  We took the boys shoe shopping yesterday, to the same store that we went for Connors shoes several months ago.  The main salesperson there is probably also the owner and he’s very good with his knowledge of kids shoes and always takes the time to explain things.   As a result we were able to find the both boys a pair and they were happy with their new fast shoes.  After shopping, as we hadn’t had dimsum for awhile, we stopped by the Chinese restaurant for a quick lunch.  Logan enjoyed the sui mai (dumplings) as I expected while Connor liked eating the jelly fish.  We took a walk in the mall to burn off the big calorie lunch, and to our surprise, we saw a store with model trains displayed.  The boys had so much fun seeing all the different trains running on several tracks.   Our trip to the usually quiet mall (we refer to it as the ‘Dead Mall’) turned out to be fun and productive.
