Christmas Eve

After the golf lesson, we stayed home the rest of the day.  The boys played some video games and later Cole came over to play with them.  By the late afternoon, we finally put together the ginger bread house and made some chocolate dipped pretzels for Santa.  When we were finished, we put on our annual video Grinch to watch.  Afterwards we watched Muppet Christmas Carols as well and we all loved it.  By then i finally felt that we had built up my Christmas spirit and I was more ready!  The boys set up the snack and milk for Santa, and rushed to bed to anticipate the arrival of Christmas.  However both boys came out later as they were just too excited to sleep.  After they went to sleep, Stuart and I watched the Elf too.  I think we have found ourselves more videos to consider watching annually.

Golf Lesson

image     We signed the boys up for golf lesson last Sunday.  This lesson was for full swings and it turned out to be a very small class with only 3 kids.  After the kids warmed up, the coach took them indoor to film the swings.  They were in there for some time and I think the boys had fun with that.  Next the coach taught them a routine to make sure they had a good full swing.  Stuart and i were nearby practicing on our own but I was spying on them as well.  Afterward, the coach took the 3 boys to the putting green to practice and played a putting game.  When the hour was over, the kids earned a hotdog for lunch too.  The boys were not too thrilled with this lesson initially but at the end they seemed to enjoy it.  Logan even said that i can sign them up once a month.

December 23rd

Our holiday break began on this day, but even with the boys, we could not believe that Christmas was approaching and we were not mentally ready for it.  We played tennis in the morning, and tried to do some last minute Christmas preparation and present wrapping in the afternoon.  In the evening the Gopals were over for dinner, and the boys were looking forward to playing with Rohan.  It was a nice evening.

Connor’s Winter Performance

Connor’s grade level had their winter concert last Monday.  Now that Logan is a 4th grader; he no longer has these performance, so we only had one to attend.  Connor was still excited for these events; he had a couple of songs that he especially liked and requested that I recorded them for him and Logan to watch.  The show was good as usual, and Stuart and I said goodbye to Connor before we returned to work.

The coworkers in my new facility love to take pictures.  We wore Christmas sweaters during one of the holiday luncheons.

This one was with the doctors in my Medicine module; we tried to be festive on the last day of work before Christmas.

Christmas Decoration

Stuart bought us a tree on Tuesday, but I had been too lazy to fulfill Connor’s request to decorate it until Friday.  I had energy only to put up the lights that night, and we finally did the rest of Saturday.  Connor and Logan both helped putting up the ornaments.  Logan also put together the train tracks for the tree while Connor decided to use the leftover craft supply from last year to make a gingerbread man for his teacher.  We are keeping it very simple with decoration this year and our house is now ready for the holiday.
