The Merons had their artificial grass installed and they invited friends over to enjoy it and have some BBQ.  In the morning, we had pancakes, watched some TV and played some games.  The boys presented me with some nice cards and drawings for Mother’s Day.  Then we got ready before 11am and headed over to the Merons.  Their yard looked very nice with the addition of this huge lawn.  The kids played briefly at the trampoline, then later at the bouncy house once it was set up.  There were three more kids today, and all 8 kids played well together.  Sometimes Connor and the girls disappeared for awhile as they were playing arts and crafts inside the house.  They had lunch first and later they came back out to have desserts with us.  There were some wonderful bite size desserts since one of the guests was a pastry chef, and I had made a chocolate mousse cake too.  The kids all lined up patiently to get their shares except Logan as he would rather watch TV.  After over 5 hours at their house again, we had to clean up and pack up.  Connor started helping Rohan’s dad to pack away the bouncy house, then he cleaned up the table and the chairs with a spray.  He then helped me picked up after their art and craft project.  Afterward, Connor still wanted to clean and did not want to leave, so I had to suggest cleaning our backyard tables when we returned home.  As soon as we got on the freeway, both boys passed out until shortly after we arrived home.  Even though the adults were under the shade and were sitting down majority of the times, I too was exhausted from the outing.  When Connor woke up, unfortunately he remembered about the cleaning task.  Connor and I ended up cleaning all the tables and chairs in the backyard to keep my promise.  We then went inside the house to have a small dinner and an early bedtime to end the day. 

P.S. Logan suddenly called me into the bonus room while their bath was getting ready.  All on his own, he decided to write me another sweet message to wrap up this relaxing fun Mother’s day for me.

   Connor’s program was 20 minutes long, therefore, it was divided in two-10 minutes videos.

    After we arrived home from soccer, the Kaos came by for a get together.  The boys were excited for the guests to arrive, but as usual, as soon as the doorbell rang, the two of them wanted to hide and just looked down from the second floor.  Once the door opened, Mckayla and Marcus immediately ran upstairs to meet up with the boys.  Connor wanted to show them his new bed, and I think he did.  I did not go upstairs at all the whole evening and I had no idea what the kids did there, but every now and then each kid came down to show us their tinker toys inventions.  I got dinner ready for us, and we decided to let the kids sit in the kitchenet table while the adults used the dining room.  The kids giggled so much while they ate, then they started taking turns coming to us to tattle on each other.  They went back to play but Logan kept coming back to find out the ETA for dessert.  Finally we agreed on 10 more minutes and Ted gave Logan his phone with the timer set.  Logan basically still came to us every couple of minutes until the timer went off.  We all enjoyed the dessert the Kaos brought, then the kids returned to play.  Mckayla wanted to play arts and crafts, and with the lack of it here, she decided to fold paper airplanes from the boys book.  Somehow, her paper airplanes turned into an “airplane fight” that they all had a blast.  They grabbed whole bunch of folded or cringed up color papers and dropped them from the second floor while the others used swords to fight the “fallen planes”.  They played for a long time while we chatted at the table until it was time for the Kaos to go home.  All four kids became blushed and sweaty from their game that they had to have their outer layers taken off.  Connor’s cheeks were super red as a result too.

     It was our turn to bring snacks for today’s game.  The boys were excited with the snacks I chose and were happy to help packing them yesterday.   After we arrived at the gym, Logan practiced with some teammates and he seemed less energized according to Stuart.  When it was time to start the game, the coach had not arrived yet, so the referee helped the team out and got the game started.  Just a few minutes into the game, Logan started rubbing his face a bit.  Then it happened to be his turn to go to the bench, Stuart went to check on Logan and discovered that he was having a nosebleed.  He took Logan into the boys’ locker room, and they finally came back out after several minutes.  Logan was fine then and had a tissue plug in his nose.  Stuart reported that Logan bled a lot and he was very sad and almost cried.  Logan told us that he got hit twice by the ball, but Stuart only witnessed one hit.  While Logan was resting on the bench, we gave him a snack as he was a bit low in energy.  Fortunately his nose bleed stopped and Logan was ready to return to the game.  With the burst of energy possibly from the snack, Logan received a nice pass, drove up to the basket and made it.  The rest of the game Logan did his usual, passing the ball up to his teammates instead of being too assertive.  We all then gathered in the courtyard to have snacks, and both Logan and Connor enjoyed them very much.

    While Connor was in soccer practice, Logan and Stuart went to play basketball.  it was very windy today and the court had some leaves on the ground.  After they played for a little bit, Logan slipped on a leaf and scraped his knee.  Logan actually cried a bit for this one, but eventually he got over it.  They then played baseball for the rest of the time.

     I guess our children would not grow up to be show kids.  We have been looking forward to Connor’s spring program.  Logan actually remembered that Connor was holding on to the chalkboard the entire time during his last Christmas Sing, so he reminded Connor not to hold on to the board.  Connor proudly told us that he would stand up straight and would sing loud and clear.

    Today I left work early; I picked up Logan first and we sat down at the front row in Connor’s classroom.  The class was getting ready as the teachers putting the headpieces on the kids.  Connor was happy to see us with a goofy smile and he came over to say hi.  Then the class stepped out to the courtyard to wait while the families continued to fill up the room.  It was such a huge audience that Stuart decided to stand in the back after he arrived to let other people sit.  The show began with the Headmaster’s introduction, then all the cute kids slowly marched in.  Connor was looking at me with a very nervous smile.  Once he lined up to the 2nd row, his arm reached out to lean on the board just like he did at Christmas Sing.  I gestured my arm to suggest him to bring it down, and Connor actually followed my lead.  When the class started singing the first song, Connor’s mouth was moving but he did not do any of the movements.  After a song or two, each kid took turns telling their names and telling us their favorite insects.  When it came to Connor, a baby started crying again (as the parent kept coming back to the room) and I could not hear Connor clearly.  But I think Connor rushed through it and jumbled up his words.  Maybe after just a few minutes of singing, Connor stopped all together.  His big smile was slowly changing into a nervous look.  He was still following the class walking their lines, but he did not seem interested.  I had mouthed to ask him if he wanted to sing, but he shook his head.  At some point, he looked so nervous that I worried if he was going to cry.  Fortunately Connor did not and he stayed put for the rest of the presentation.  The class did great and the show was fun and long (20 minutes).  We took some group pictures, then the kids were released to come to the parents.  Connor was so happy to run to us and completely looked relieved then.  We told him how we enjoyed the show a lot and we took some pictures of Connor with his teachers, then Connor showed us his work.  He made the three of us a pot of flowers and he made me a Mother’s Day card.

    We all then went to Logan’s basketball practice before coming home for dinner.  At dinner, Logan suddenly told Connor “Good job Connor for not holding onto the board!  But why did you not sing at all?”  Connor just answered “I don’t know”.

     Connor has needed a new bed for awhile now as he often hangs over the edge of his toddler bed.  Stuart wanted to get something fun for him, and we finally went out to purchase it on Monday.  It then took Stuart a couple of days to put it together.  When we came home from school on Wednesday, the boys were excited to see the new addition.  We were a bit worried if Connor would be scared of the height, but to our surprise, he had no hesitation.  He was very excited and immediately climbed up to the bed.  He was very chatty and kept talking about the new bed.  Logan was very jealous and was telling us that he does not have a cool bed.  We were prepared with something new for Logan too, a new Super Marvel blanket, but Logan was happy only for 10 seconds and back to his sad mood.  A bit later, Logan changed his request and begged for a sleepover in Connor’s room instead.  I guess we will let him do that this weekend.

    At bedtime, Connor was all happy while being tucked in in his new big bed.  He referred to it as sleeping on a building.  He slept all the way until Logan and I woke him up in the morning.  He told me this morning that he loves his new bed and he wishes that it was even taller.
