The air quality was unhealthy this past weekend due to the fire, so we could not play tennis.  We stayed indoor majority of the time; the boys and I even played Just Dance to get exercise.  Logan had to do a report on an explorer, and he was able to spend a couple of hours each day on the writing and drawing.  At the end, he was very proud of what he accomplished.  He thinks that it might be the best project he did. 

   On Sunday, we gathered with the gang at the Gopals.  We had not seen everyone for a long time, so it was nice to catch up.  The boys were also looking forward to playing with Rohan, and they, along with Ashley, indeed had a blast playing Fortnite in teams for quite awhile.

   Stuart had to work on Monday, so it was just me and the boys hanging out.  We decided to go to the theater to watch the Grinch.  It had been definitely a long time since our last movie there as it turned out the theater had changed to new seating.  We ended up waiting to the next showing for better assigned seats.  The movie was great and all three of us had some happy tears from a scene at the end.  In the afternoon, I took the boys to their martial arts class and a haircut afterward. 

   Logan is very excited for his site; he wants us to subscribe it and like his videos.  We are quite proud of him for making those videos.

    The boys attended Maxim’s birthday party at Rockin Jump on Saturday at 11:20.  The parents suggested that they would take our boys home with them and let the 3 boys play until 5pm.   Suddenly Stuart and I had hours to ourselves.  We ended up going to Home Depot to buy supplies for our little backyard project, have a lunch and did some grocery shopping.  Next we played tennis for some time.  I tried hard, again I lost to Stuart 5:7 and 3:3.  This was a few productive hours.

    Connor had a big school project and was not given much time, thus we had to spend quite a bit of time on it this weekend.  He had to make a totem pole with 4 animals representing our family values, and he had to write paragraphs describing them.  The plan was for me to assist Connor making the totem pole on Saturday.  Connor was on and off motivated to make it, but at the end, he was able to make all the drawings with my help.  Today on Sunday, while I went hiking with my coworkers, somehow Connor was very motivated.  He with the help of Stuart wrote a nice essay about the totem pole animals in just 30 minutes.  I was shared a text with a proud picture of him while my coworkers and I barely started with the hike.  Connor wrote a great essay too when he read it to me after I came home.

    With the 14000 steps I earned from the hike, after lunch break and a quick nap, Connor, Logan and I went on a bike ride around the neighborhood while Stuart used the skateboard.  Later, I also walked with the boys to get T4U.  Today was an active day for me.

   This was the first time Logan attended the conference with us.  It was good to have the teacher tell Logan directly the recommendation she had for him, and the main area was to have Logan read higher level books than what he currently loves to read.  So starting now, we would have Logan read other books at home beside his favorite comics or easy-to-read books.

    Connor’s conference was on Friday morning, so Stuart and I attended that one together.  Connor is doing well and he also can work on comprehension. 

     We started this day early as we had to attend Logan’s parent teacher conference with Logan at 8am.  We dropped Connor off at Cole’s house bright and early, then we walked to school.  After the conference, Lisa also dropped Cole and Connor off, and school was about to begin.  I waited around until the parade at 9am, then as usual all the classes came to the blacktop and the parade began.   Logan did not initially want to dress up, but since this would be his last parade, he finally agreed to do so, and he seemed to have fun.  Right after the parade, Logan’s class did not have do group picture and went straight to their music class.  Connor’s class gathered for a group photo, then they returned to their classroom to change out of their costume.  I stayed with Connor while the class played few games of Bingo, and Connor was happy to get a bingo.  I left before the Halloween party this year.  According to Connor, he had fun playing other games and decorated and ate a cookie.

    In the evening after a quick dinner, Maxim came over to trick n treat with the boys.  Connor was happy to wear his scary Grim Reaper costume.  Stuart did not feel like passing out candies this year, so he went out to accompany the boys.  They started toward Cole’s house first and picked up Cole.  Then all four boys came back to get a treat from me before they began their journey  They did not return until an hour and a half later and with a good sized bucket of candies.  While they were gone, I enjoyed passing out candies this year.  We had quite a crowd of trick n treaters, some very cute kids with cool costumes.  After they returned, Connor started helping out to pass out candies.  The festivity seemed to have ended a bit earlier this year, but everyone had fun.
