We took an easy day on Sunday and finally started putting up Christmas decorations.  Connor was so excited and wanted to help with every step.  Logan hung out with us while he played on the Tablet and he placed a couple of ornaments up on the tree.  Both boys bought some art and crafts projects from Michaels on Saturday, and they were happy to work on them.  Logan put together a foamy winter wonderland and Connor made some gingerbread men that he was happy to add to our tree.  Stuart and I tried to take a nap too.  We were so lazy that we did not get out of our pajamas until mid-day.  We finally decided that we should get some fresh air, so we all bundled up and equipped with umbrella for a walk.  We saw a rainbow and Connor was looking forward to finding the bucket of gold.   We ended up at the school; just then, it started pouring big time.  The boys enjoyed jumping up and down some puddles, and had some great laughs. 

     In the evening I went out to have dinner and dessert with the girls. The boys stayed home, and played a game of Castle Panic after dinner.  When I came home, they just finished the long game.  They all told me how they lost to the monsters at the end and how I should stay with them  next time to work together as a team.

    We went over to the Kaos on Saturday for dinner.  The boys played with Mckayla and Marcus while the adults chatted.  We also took a look at Marcus’s bikes and had Connor test out his height on them.  We ended up borrowing his old bike to take home for Connor to try out.  Later the boys played a game of Qwirkle with Mckayla, and the rest of the night, all of them just ran around the house.  A couple of times they were dressed up and making noises coming to us like a parade; Connor had the fairy wings once, a cow, and was the Transformer another time.  The kids took a break to eat dinner and later for desserts.  We had the Warriors game set up, so all of us adults were focused in watching the game during dinner until the end of the it.  Unfortunately the Warriors lost, but we still had a good time throughout the evening.

     Logan and Connor had their routine dental appointments on Saturday.  Connor’s appointment was first so he and I were taken to the back while Logan stayed in the waiting area playing with a iPad.  The hygienist was slow and spent a lot of time talking with Connor, then she took him to obtain some xrays.  While Connor returned to the dental chair, Logan was brought to the one next to him.  Logan was hesitant during the cleaning, and did not like the favored paste, but managed to have it done quickly.  Connor’s hygienist spent so much time talking with Connor and letting him choose and change the favored paste.  I finally had to interfere and pick a favor for him so he could be finished.  We had been doing a fine job brushing teeth at home, and both of their teeth were reasonable.  We then waited for the dentist to do their check up.  Logan’s new upper front teeth unfortunately are behind the lower teeth and he was recommended to see an orthodontist.  Later the dentist agreed to take a large Xray to take a look at all the embedded new teeth.  When it was Connor’s turn, the dentist shared that one of his tooth had a slight shadow and we will have to focus on brushing that area.  This was the longest appointment we had thus far and we did not have a very pleasant report.

     After I picked Connor up on Monday, one of his classmates passed by and said “Bye, Connor, the boyfriend person”.  I asked Connor what that was about; he told me that people are saying Cameron is his girlfriend, then he emphasized “But she is not!”.  This was not the first time I heard about this.  Last month when I was in the class doing the art lesson, one of the girls confirmed that I was Connor’s mom, then she told me “Cameron likes your son”.  I can’t believe kindergarteners are talking about this stuff already. 

    While we hung out at the park to wait for Logan, Connor was playing with 3 of the classmates and one of them was Cameron.  She was following Connor while they were running around the playground.

    The last couple of times when I went in to Logan’s classroom to help, the teacher had me assist in the art and craft projects the students were making for the holidays.  I was more than happy to do these tasks even though it would spoil my surprise when Logan brings home these handmade gifts.  This past Monday while I was helping one child at a time to do finger painting to decorate a card, the teacher led the class to paint reindeers.  She was drawing hers while guiding the class step by step.  All the kids were very engaged and painted some very nice reindeers.  Logan’s one was adorable and he was proud of it too!  Afterward the teacher had the kids run some laps outside for exercise.  Logan told me that he ran 9 laps.

     We had a free Saturday.  We did a little bit of shopping to fulfill the donation items for school and work, then we spent the rest of the day at home.  We were not in the mood to decorate the house yet, but Stuart did set up our new Snowman and it is now brightly standing in front of our house.  The boys also wrote a letter to Santa with their wish lists.  Logan quickly wrote three generic things on his list and wished Santa a great day while Connor contemplated for a long time. Connor finally thought up 2 other things to make 3 things in total like Logan did, and at the end he added “I have been a good boy” in the letter too.  Logan helped Connor fold up the letter and addressed to Santa Claus at North Pole.

    On Sunday, we joined the Merons to have a gathering at the Gopal’s house.  The kids went up to play at Rohan’s room until time for pizza while the adults enjoyed some homemade Indian food.  After eating, the kids were off playing again.  At some point, Raz came tell me that Connor was crying.  When I went up with her to check on the situation, I saw Logan, Rohan and Raz all sat next to Connor who was teary.  He told me that Bar was saying some mean things to him, not letting him play something.  The situation quickly resolved after Revital talked to Bar, but it was cute seeing the kids all sat together supporting Connor.  Much later I saw Raz asking Connor to go play in the backyard, Connor agreed and put shoes on to step outside.  Raz went to get her shoes but got distracted playing something else.  The adults were all watching how patient Connor was sitting or walking around in the backyard waiting.  We finally reminded Raz that Connor was waiting for her, then she said “I forgot” but quickly went outside to play.  It was adorable!  Few hours of relaxing time, we wrapped up to go home.  The boys were tired from all the running and fell asleep during the drive home.
