We signed the boys up for golf lesson last Sunday. This lesson was for full swings and it turned out to be a very small class with only 3 kids. After the kids warmed up, the coach took them indoor to film the swings. They were in there for some time and I think the boys had fun with that. Next the coach taught them a routine to make sure they had a good full swing. Stuart and i were nearby practicing on our own but I was spying on them as well. Afterward, the coach took the 3 boys to the putting green to practice and played a putting game. When the hour was over, the kids earned a hotdog for lunch too. The boys were not too thrilled with this lesson initially but at the end they seemed to enjoy it. Logan even said that i can sign them up once a month.

Our holiday break began on this day, but even with the boys, we could not believe that Christmas was approaching and we were not mentally ready for it. We played tennis in the morning, and tried to do some last minute Christmas preparation and present wrapping in the afternoon. In the evening the Gopals were over for dinner, and the boys were looking forward to playing with Rohan. It was a nice evening.

Connor’s grade level had their winter concert last Monday. Now that Logan is a 4th grader; he no longer has these performance, so we only had one to attend. Connor was still excited for these events; he had a couple of songs that he especially liked and requested that I recorded them for him and Logan to watch. The show was good as usual, and Stuart and I said goodbye to Connor before we returned to work.

The coworkers in my new facility love to take pictures. We wore Christmas sweaters during one of the holiday luncheons.

This one was with the doctors in my Medicine module; we tried to be festive on the last day of work before Christmas.

Connor’s teacher chose to have the class party on Friday and I took off the afternoon to help out. When I arrived at the classroom, Connor came and gave me a hug. The room parents set up a few stations, ie. for hot cocoa, decorating cookies, and art and crafts tables. I was assigned to help the kids making ornaments and I was happy with this task. We helped 5 or 6 kids at a time to decorate the ornaments, and all the kids did a great job. After all the stations, the kids could also get a balloon sword from one of the parents making them. By the end of the day, the teacher also put on a video for the kids to watch and that wrapped up the holiday party.

As a treat, I also loved taking the boys to martial arts on Friday after school.
