Spring Performances

We knew Connor would have a spring concert this year and Connor had been practicing his songs the past few weeks.  There were three songs that he really liked and he loved singing them to us.  Connor would not mind singing to me to record for him; he likes seeing himself in videos.  The concert was being held on Wednesday.  It turned out that Logan also had a performance on the same day.  This was the first year that 4th and 5th grades had music classes paid by the Home School Club, and the classes would be playing a recorder as well.  Logan did not have much to tell us, but we did hear that their class would be singing two songs.

So on Wednesday, I managed to go from Science Lab to Connor’s performance, then went to work for a meeting and returned to Logan’s performance before heading back to work in the afternoon.  Stuart had many meetings all day, so I had planned to record a few songs to show Stuart.  Connor had already told me the ones he liked for me to record.  Connor’s performance was cute, and the songs and movements were great.  Logan’s grade performance was awesome as well, and it seemed even more professional.  Their new music teacher did not say a word but he was able to gesture the classes to do a great job.  The 4th grade is large this year, and has 4 classes.  Each class took turns doing a solo with singing and playing the recorder which was very cool.  The final song was loud and moving with the entire 4th grade singing together.
