On the last day of school, 6/9/2022, I dropped Logan off back at school at 3:30pm, then Stuart and Connor walked over shortly after to join me for the ceremony at 4pm. The stage and hundreds of chairs were all set up at the quad. The ceremony began with the students marching out onto the stage; after a few nice speeches, the teachers started announcing the graduates one by one. Finally Logan was called, he walked up to receive the certificate, shake the Principle’s hand and had his picture taken. While we were sitting in the heat, Connor counted the names of graduates in the announcement pamphlet and there were 292 graduates. We remained seated until the commencement came to an end and all the graduates returned to the gym. It took quite a long time, especially when we were waiting in the heat, before we finally found Logan in the sea of people. We gave Logan a lei and a teddy bear to congratulate him. We took pictures of us and with Logan and Cole. Then we were exhausted being in the heat and did not hang around. Now we have a 9th grader entering high school!
