Logan visited his new school for the first time this morning.  We picked the 8am orientation to attend. Logan was actually quite excited and was all jumpy entering the school.  We found out that Logan was assigned to one of the smallest Preschool 4 classes (four total classes); he will be one of only 7 kids with one teacher.  We were happy with that as Logan will probably be more comfortable to start with a smaller group.  When we entered his classroom, Logan said hi to the teacher and one of his classmates, Alex, and his father.  It did not take long before Logan and Alex started playing with the toys.  Logan seemed comfortable there while we chatted with the teacher.  We then were told to go to the parents orientation in the cafeteria, and Logan did not mind as we asked him to stay with the teacher and Alex.  When Stuart and I returned, the teacher told us that the boys had fun playing together and they had a conversation about Toy Story.  We stayed a bit longer so Logan could see and play at the outdoor playground.  As we were leaving, Logan even asked the teacher if she would come along to his old school.  I guess Logan had bonded with her; hopefully the first day of school next week will go as well as today did.

    Logan and I arrived at school in time for the Friday performance which was a puppet show.  I was happy that Logan would be able to watch his last show there, plus it would distract him enough not to be too clingy with me, and it worked. 

   At the end of the day when I picked up Logan, he was in a happy mood.  The teachers told me that Logan had received many goodbye hugs today.  In addition to that, Logan had a little injury to mark the last day just like Connor did.  According to the teacher, Logan got pushed in the courtyard by one of his friends and skinned his knee and elbow; he was sad for an entire hour.  The knee part looked sort of bad, but Logan did not whine at all when he was showing me the owies.  We took a few more pictures and said our final goodbyes, and stepped away from the school that Logan had attended for more than 3 and a half years.
