Logan did well at the first day of his new school. When Stuart took Logan to school th
is morning, Logan was quite excited, carrying his sleeping bag and leading Stuart to walk to his classroom. Until Stuart reminded him that he needed to go to a different classroom in the morning before his regular teacher arrives, Logan changed his reaction. He became worried and a little clingy then. Stuart sat him down to play with some toys, and said a quick goodbye to Logan to avoid lingering. The dropoff was definitely much better than what w
e anticipated.
Shortly later in the morning, I received a text with a photo from Dee Dee. When she dropped off Kasey to the morning classroom, they saw Logan there. Logan was doing fine, but he did tell her that he wanted daddy. This was the picture she showed me and it doesn’t look like he was quite in the swing of things yet.
After work at pick up, Logan was playing with Legos by himself when Stuart arrived at the classroom. The teacher said Logan did well today, no crying, just a bit shy. After Stuart got the update, Logan did not seem to want to leave just yet; he talked to Stuart about Legos.
Logan was more chatty than usual. He told Stuart about the music coming out from the monitor all day. He talked about how silly the teacher was when she did not remember the alphabet letters; so everyone reminded her. He also did mention about having some problems with sleeping on the sleeping bag, but Stuart and I did not quite understand what the issue was. When we asked him if he played with his new friends, he said no and explained that “they broke my projects”. Logan also showed us his first artwork from the school. We finally have more than just explosions to look at now. He told us that it was a drawing of Daddy and Mommy.
