Not a Sharer

Logan definitely does not like to share or talk, especially on demand.  After the huge camping trip, we asked him at dinner last night what we did, and his answer was “I don’t know”.  He did finally say that he liked the “special” after dinner, S’more, and and named some of his friends from the camping trip.  Today was Logan’s Monday Show and Tell.  We suggested him to bring the map to the campsite to lead into talking about the camping, but Logan chose to bring the Star Wars book instead.  Tonight at dinner, Stuart tried to get Logan to tell us what he shared with his class about the book, but Logan once again did not share much.  He either said nothing, or said “I don’t know”, or just answered yes or no.  Stuart taught me a saying tonight; he referred the conversation as “trying to get blood from a stone”.  image

On the other hand, Logan shares when we least expected.  While we were hanging out at the campsite, Robyn was playing the rhyming game with Peyton and Mckayla; she gave the girls a word “cat”.  Logan apparently whispered “rat”, and fortunately Robyn heard and acknowledged him, so Logan gave a happy smile.  He went on and said “bat”.  I was totally surprised as I did not realize Logan has learned rhyming.

This is just a funny thing to add.  A couple of days ago when Logan saw Scottie at the backyard door, he opened it to let him in.  Connor immediately got sad that he did not get to open the door and kept saying “Me, Me”.  Logan quickly said to Connor in a very gentle voice “Connor, I don’t know how to click this, can you click this for me?”  So Connor happily helped and locked the door.  Connor was satisfied then and Logan had the look of job accomplished.  I was impressed that Logan was utilizing a technique that we had used on him before.
