This morning when I was driving the boys to schools, Logan noticed the sun coming through the clouds, then he began his story. “Without the sun, we can’t have people, vegetables and animals. The sun is full of fire. And we can look directly at the sun, we can get blinded”. I tried not to interrupt him as I knew that he might stop sharing if I asked too many quest
ions. Wow, I was surprised of what he has learned from the solar system topic at school this week. At the end of the day, the teacher told me that Logan was the only one who knew the answer to her review question this morning. I forgot what the question she had asked about the earth was, but Logan answered “atmosphere”. And when the teacher asked a follow up question about what the atmosphere does, and Logan said “It protects the people”. Because of that, he earned to be the Line Leader today. The teacher did tell me again, after telling Stuart yesterday, that she is concerned with how Logan pronounces “L” as it sounds like “N”, and the same goes to the words that start with “L”. She is not sure if Logan was just messing with her, but she seemed quite concerned. I guess we have to work with Logan on that.
Tonight as Stuart was reading with Logan, he decided to ask Logan to help with reading some words, and Stuart was totally surprised and impressed that Logan was trying to sound out each word with the letters. Logan is totally hiding from us what he is capable of doing.
