Logan had pretty much recovered from his RSV, but was still a bit cranky at night. Since we weren’t getting much sleep anyways we decided it would be a good time for his next big-boy step…..sleeping unwrapped. His entire life he’s been wrapped in swaddling blankets. It makes them feel secure and stops them from waking themselves with thashing arms and legs. However, eventually they reach the stage where they can soothe themselves in the middle of the night, by sucking a finger, or finding their pacifier. Logan had reached the stage (we hoped).
The first night of unwrapping went remarkably well…we were expecting an hour or two of constant tears, but instead he was fast asleep after only 20 minutes. For the next few nights he also did extremely well…piece of cake we thought. Unfortunately Logan now has some new teeth coming in so the nightime crying has once again begun. He alternates now between a night of one-time wakeup (yea), and one of mucho tears (boo).
If you are wondering which night logan had, just look to see if Bonnie and I are grumpy and snapping at our co-workers.

That was my favorite pic too. It was so funny watching how tolerant Logan was while the boy played with his ear =)
