Scottie was scheduled for his 6 month weight check today.  Since Logan’s school is very close to the vet, I decided to pick up Logan to come with us.  Logan was happy to come along, but as soon as we were in the car to the vet, he was asking for his Mobigo to play.  I did not have his Mobigo in my car, but fortunately the vet office offered Logan some crayons to draw.  Scottie had some matted hair again and needed his nails trimmed, so the medical assistant took him to the backroom to do the jobs.  Logan drew for awhile and we played tic-tac-toe too.  Logan complained once that we waited a long time.  Logan actually offered to help brush Scottie from now on, so he would not have to come back to the vet for that.  Scottie finally came back and they reported his weight which was only 6lb 14oz.  He has lost almost 2lbs this past year, and now only half of his all time peak 13lbs.  I totally thought that his weight should have been stable as Scottie’s appetite has been good and I have made an effort to give him additional treats every other day.  Other than the weight, Scottie is doing fine.
