Eye Appointment

I took Logan to his eye appointment this morning.  He was excited to go to the hospital again; he talked about how much he liked seeing his regular doctor last week.  We waited only briefly at the waiting room, then the eye doctor called us in.  She asked Logan to sit down in front of an optical machine, put his chin up on the stand and lean his forehead against it; Logan followed the instruction very well.  He looked through the machine and sat very still as instructed.  We then fimageollowed her to an exam room.  Logan was happy sitting up on the tall chair, and he gave me a smiley look every now and then.  He did well when the doctor told him to hold his head still but looked at every direction.  Then he read through the lines of letters, and again after the doctor put the optical equipment in front of him.  He was very cooperative and read the letters as well as he could.

The testing unfortunately confirmed that Logan has near-sightedness and astigmatism, I guess he inherited my bad gene.  The doctor suggested the degree is mild at this point and does not justify the use of eyeglasses yet.  But as Logan gets taller and the eyeballs get stretched out, the vision will slowly get worse.  She recommended healthy eating and regular follow ups.
