Yesterday was Theresa and Martin’s big day. The ceremony was at noon time, so we had time to go shopping in the morning and pick up lunch. When we arrived home, I got the boys settled in for lunch, then got dressed and headed to the ceremony on my own. I arrived early enough to say hello to the bride, then got seated to witness their nuptials. After the ceremony, we all went in for a large group photo before I headed home to join the boys again.
At 5:30pm, the babysitter Mollie arrived at the apartment to take over the boys for us. We chatted with
her briefly, then Stuart and I were ready to go on our way. Connor was holding on to our legs until the end and cried as we had expected. Logan seemed fine and politely said hello to Mollie when she arrived.
Stuart and I enjoyed the evening. It was a nice drive over to the reception site at Pleasanton. It was great seeing and chatting with the newlyweds and our friends. We enjoyed the d’oeuvres and a wonderful sit-down dinner. There were some good speeches and a fun photobooth that I attended with a couple different groups. Stuart and I also had a chance to get on the dance floor for a little bit before we headed home. Congrats to Theresa and Martin!
We arrived home shortly after 11pm and received an update from Mollie. Connor stopped crying quickly after we left and was good the rest of the night. They all played with some toys, ate dinner and took a walk around in the apartment complex before bedtime routine. Mollie told us that Connor talked a lot with her, and both boys behaved well for her. It was glad to hear that the boys had a good evening too.
