Easter Egg Hunt

image    We have been busy lately so we did not think about an Easter egg hunt until just a couple of days ago.  Stuart and I decided that we should probably make one up after Connor brought home a handmade basket from school on Friday.  Especially after our neighbor came by to give the boys little baskets filled with chocolate, they got even more excited for Easter.  Shortly after we woke up today, Connor started asking when the hunt would begin.  Since it was cold out, we decided to have the hunt inside the house.  To make it a bit more interesting, Stuart and I decided to add some messages to some eggs and added a little scavenger hunt at the end too.  The boys were excited when we were ready to start, and they followed the rule well to take turns to find one egg at a time.  They went through major parts of the house and located all the hidden eggs.  They helped each other out sometimes and listened to clues to find the remaining ones.  When we sat down to reveal their booty, they read the messages and we had a good laugh.  They enjoyed a couple of chocolates, did what they were told (ie. hop like a bunny, do a chicken dance, run around the house), and Logan enjoyed deciding upon a meal, so we had pizza for lunch.  At the end, they also tried to solve the clues to find the special eggs, and were delighted to discover tokens in there.  Our little hunt turned out quite well.
