This event happened on Tuesday at school. This year the time slots for the boys’ classes were different, so I could actually represent Stuart and I and go to both. But since I imagined that the third grade would be more involved I recruited Stuart to go as well. After I got off from work, we all walked to school to drop the boys off at CDC for babysitting. Then Stuart and I met with Logan’s new teacher and listened to an overview of what the third graders would do this year. Next Stuart went to pick up the kids to take them home while I headed over to the Superdome to listen to the general announcement. This year we have a new interim principle and a whole new volunteering parent group for the Home School Club, so even though it was the same 30 minutes talk, it was good to hear it from the new people. Finally it was time to meet Connor’s new teacher and understand what Connor would go through this year.
In both classrooms, we also saw some of the schoolwork the boys had done already and nice little letters they both wrote to us. Now the boys’ first and third grades are officially in full swing.
