Last week, I took Monday and Tuesday to spend with the boys before they returned
to school. On Monday, Logan had a cardiology appointment as a follow up to the murmur the primary care doctor discovered. Connor and I accompanied Logan to the appointment. First the MA performed an EKG on Logan; he was all ticklish while she placed the leads on him. I had to keep Connor away from Logan, otherwise the two boys were giggling too much. Next the cardiologist came in to listen to Logan. Fortunately the murmur was gone and his EKG checked out well.
I then drove the boys up to Venice Beach at Half Moon Bay to meet up with everyone. It was a cold day but we were prepared with layers. The boys went straight to play on the sand with the other kids while I chatted with friends. I did not come prepared with lunch as we had the appointment at the hospital, but fortunately Dave and Michelle had plenty of food to share with us. Everyone took a break to eat, and we shared some desserts with others. After eating, Logan decided that it was too cold and he was done playing. He bundled himself inside Michelle’s tent; later Connor joined him as well. Connor actually laid down and looked so tired too. Ian was playing cards with other kids in another tent, and I finally convinced them to check them out. As I knew, they had fun playing with Ian for quite a long time. Finally by early afternoon, everyone wrapped up to end this beach outing. We said bye to everyone, then Michelle and I took our kids to a coffee shop to get some hot drinks before we hit the road.
