Logan is having so much imagination lately that he likes to pretend to be a different character.  He often calls himself a bad guy, and he names all of us to be either a good or bad guy too.  This morning when we were watching TV, Logan was constantly talking in a low voice “I want to be that guy, I want to be this guy.  No, I want to be this guy.  Connor is that guy, Mommy is this guy and Daddy is this guy”.  He was going on like that for several minutes.  Logan is doing the same thing during reading too.  He assigns himself and all of us as the characters in the books.  He is such a busy body these days!

    Last night when we were playing after dinner, Logan came and said hi to me wearing a fireman hat in the doorway, then he ran away and showed up at the other doorway in a cowboy hat.  He was giggling going back and forth changing his characters.

    Logan appears to be having some mild tummy issue.  Over the last couple of weeks, he had woken up overnight maybe 3-4 nights, including last night, to have a bowel movement, and the stool has been looser too.  Logan even complained of tummy ache occasionally for a couple of days last week which has resolved now.  There have not been any significant changes with Logan’s eating habit lately, except he is eating mostly cold lunches after he switched to new school.  Last night with the big dinner, Logan did eat quite a bit of diary food, pizza, creamy pasta and a big scoop of ice cream.  At 11:30pm last night, Logan woke up and needed to go to the bathroom, and there it was another looser stool.  Other than that, Logan returned to sleep fine and had a good day today.  I decided to write his doctor to report the situation.  I am still waiting for her response, but I wonder if we have to consider limiting his diary products.

    We got together for dinner to celebrate Robyn’s birthday tonight.  Our crowd is certainly growing; the reservation was made for 19 people.  We, the Tsaos, the Kaos, the Changs, and Theresa/Martin, all arrived at the restaurant in good timing.  We walked around in the front of the restaurant, sat around at the waiting room, then we were seated in a very long table.  During the whole time, Connor kept asking to “eat”, and this was after a snack at the house and an apple sauce in the waiting room. 

Once we were seated, all the kids were kept busy drawing with crayons, so we could mingle and order the food.  We had ordered a lot of food, and we were all busy eating while Logan and Connor were also occupied by watching shows on our phones.  Logan enjoyed some pizza, and ate the pasta and green beans that I gave him.  Connor ate some bread, few bites of pizza and pastas, and some green beans.  As soon as he was done, he started asking for “ice cream”.  After eating dinner, we ordered a huge chocolate cake and cream puffs for the adults, and some ice cream for the kids.  We sang happy birthday to Robyn, and the kids all dug in into the ice cream.  Connor was finished after having only a few bites of ice cream, then I let him out of his chair thinking that he would follow me as I walked to the other end of the table.  But it turned out that Connor walked over to see what Brandon, Mckayla and Peyton were doing instead; unfortunately he got shy when he realized I was trying to snap a picture of him and he walked away.  He ended up walking to Robyn and reading a book with her and Brandon, and later Peyton too.  Logan finished his entire bowl of ice cream.  He was quite content tonight at the table, drawing, eating, then back to drawing.  I think I did not say more than one sentence to him while we were sitting down.  After dinner, we tried to take a few pictures of the kids along with the twins in the stroller.  These pictures are often difficult to get as the kids don’t usually stay still, especially Logan.  We then said our goodnights and headed home to end the weekend.

     We made plan with Bar’s and Rohan’s families to meet up at Oak Meadow Park this morning.  Both kids were looking forward to see their friends so got ready to the leave the house promptly.  We got there first and played at the big airplane structure while waiting for the two families to arrive.  According to Stuart, Rohan ran over to see Logan and said “I missed you so much Logan!”, but Logan did not return the greeting with such verbal enthusiasm, but was happy to see him.  Connor was also being cool when seeing Raz; he seemed to be more interested in looking at other things in the park than saying hello to her.  All five kids had fun playing with the structures and the swings for awhile until our boys suggested to eat, so we gathered to have the picnic.  Most of the kids ate well except Rohan who was too excited to play.  He however was willing to wait for Logan to ride bikes.  After taking a long time eating his sandwich, Logan finally finished it and had the cookie we promised him.  It took Stuart a bit of encouragement before Logan geared up and followed the lead of Rohan and Bar.  They rode on the track around the field which was the longest distance Logan had ridden.  Stuart even told me that Logan was actually riding quite fast passing Rohan and Bar, and Stuart had to do a slow jog to keep up with him.  I was with Connor at the time and was so amazed when I saw them on the opposite of the large field.  I tried to get Connor interested to bike with them, but he was only willing to wear the helmet.  Logan was finished after riding one round; Rohan continued on and rode a total of 2.5 rounds and Bar did one and a half rounds too.

     We then migrated over to ride the carousel; I had both kids with me as Stuart was putting away the food and bikes.  Connor was hesitant to hop on the horse, and Logan could not decide which horse to pick..  After walking all around the horses inside the carrousel, Logan finally asked to sit on the bench instead.  I was relieved with his decision as I knew Connor would like that choice too.  We all moved on to the train ride afterward.  All the kids were excited while waiting in line; Rohan and Logan were playing some hand game for awhile, then they were talking among themselves during the wait.  By then, Connor was starting to get tired and wanted to be held instead.  The big kids were so happy to hop on the train when it was our turn; the three of them sat next to each other immediately.  Connor also enjoyed the ride while laying on my chest; he almost fell asleep at a few points.  Afterward, we migrated back to playground to let the kids played a little bit more before saying our goodbyes and ending this get-together.

     It was the annual family festival at Kaiser today.  We did some shopping at a store first, but still managed to arrive at Kaiser early, before its start time at 12noon.  We registered, and since we were hungry and the food were ready, we decided to eat.  The lunch was fine today, much more fulfilling compared to the ultra healthy portion last year. The boys took turns doing their business, so I made multiple trips to the bathroom with them before we finally moved away from the food area.  It was sort of hot and the boys were not interested in any of the health or activity booths.  Logan was drawn to the Rumba dancing and hula hooping instead; he chose to sit on the curbside in the shade to watch the show.  Logan did not want to participate even though Stuart made an attempt in hula hooping to tempt him.  We ran into Kathy and family; Ian was so nice that he sat next to Logan to say hello, but we are not sure if Logan returned his friendly gesture.  We then walked over to get a snack; Logan chose popcorns over a frozen fruit bar.  We took another break to watch the show while Logan and Connor enjoyed their popcorns.  We saw Pat and a few other people, but we happened to not see and therefore not hang with our usual crowd (the Kaos and the Tsaos) today.  Afterward, we walked another round, took a look at a real fire engine and talked with a fireman, then we made our way home for nap. 

    Connor saw the scale in our room and wanted to weigh himself.  So I brought it out for a family weight check as it has been at least a couple of months since last check.  Logan is 40 lbs and Connor is 36 lbs.  They are only 4lbs apart now, wow!
