Logan often likes to chime in and discipline Connor when Stuart and I are attempting to do it.  Like when we tell Connor to eat his dinner, Logan often has lots to say about that.  But of course, we tell Logan to focus on his own business, especially since Connor does not like to be told off by Logan.  Tonight at bath, I was asking Connor to turn around so I could brush his teeth.  I was doing my count to three which Logan counted along with me, but before Connor even had a chance to turn around himself, Logan tried to grab him to turn him.  Connor got mad at Logan and pushed Logan’s face away forcefully with his hand.  All that happened so fast that I could not stop Logan from interfering to begin with, and by then I had to focus on telling Connor off which of course resulted in some crying.  After we were out of the bath and putting on PJ, Logan came over to give Connor a big long spiel.  He told Connor “You don’t hit people on the face, and if you do, we don’t play with you.  And I will tell daddy what you did and he will put you in jail”.  Logan went on and on until I told Connor to say sorry to him, then Logan said goodnight and returned to his room.

    We were doing some drawing tonight, and Logan quickly drew this on his own.  As he was drawing, he even told me about “the cross on the eyes” on the characters.  I don’t know what they mean, so Stuart just explained to me now that’s how the cartoon characters looked when they die.  Logan apparently learned that from the new Lego Star Wars game over the weekend.

    Connor did not want to be left out, quickly drew his drawing and showed it to us too.

    This morning we remembered that today would be Show and Tell at Logan’s school.  So I found a picture of him playing soccer and asked if he wanted to bring that to talk about his soccer practice.  Logan considered it for just a second, then said “I want to bring the Indiana Jones book”.  It turned out that Stuart put the soccer picture inside the book, and Logan brought both to school.  At the end of the day, the teacher said that Logan told the class about Indiana Jones, but he actually showed and talked more about the picture.  So now the teacher and the friends learned about his soccer practice.  The teacher had previously told me that Logan participates well in class activities, but he often talks very quietly.  She has been encouraging him to almost yell out his words so everyone can hear him. 

    When we were driving home, I asked Logan what did he share about Indiana Jones, but all he said was “I don’t know”.  Then I asked if he told them about the Indiana Jones game, but Logan immediately said “No, I can’t talk about the game.  The teacher does not like the game, and she will take it away”. 

   Yesterday we stayed at the park after soccer practice a bit longer than usual as the weather was very nice.  We played at the playground for awhile, then Coach Josh suggested for Alex and Logan to take a run across the field.  Alex along with Josh and Kristina got a head start, then Stuart and Logan followed them.  I was able to get Connor interested to join, and he was giggling the whole time while he ran.  Logan was slowing down and losing interests before even reaching the mid field, he told me “This is too far, taking too long.  I give up!”.  I kept trying to encourage Logan while Connor was still running.  Finally, Stuart kept Connor company to keep going, and I stayed with Logan to cheer him on.  We managed to get Logan to turn around and run back to the starting point with Alex who had already reached the end of the field and came back.  Connor, with his short little legs, managed to run to mid field and back too.  Logan is definitely a lazy one.

   Must be the high from the little exercise, Logan was willing to hop on the tire swing afterward for the first time, and of course, Connor wanted to do it too.  So the two of them along with Alex had a brief fun swinging.  Stuart and I were a bit nervous with the swing, telling the boys to hold on tight; fortunately, Connor wanted out just shortly after.  I did capture a cute picture of the moment.

     For the past two months now, Logan has become addicted to the XBox Lego Indiana Jones (or as he calls it “The Rope Game”).  He had not played with other game consoles since he was introduced to it by Stuart.  He knows that he only gets to play with it on the weekends, so he never mentions about it until the weekend arrives.  He will ask to play with it early in the morning, but we usually make him wait at least 8am or until everyone is up and has the breakfast.  He will play until we get ready for the morning outings; he also gets to play again later on after nap as he wakes up before Connor does.  Logan is getting quite good with the controller now as he is able to move around the characters and to perform the tasks on demand.  He does get frustrated at times, and so Stuart usually plays as the 2nd player to guide him through the adventures.  With the game, Logan actually has good memory.  Stuart and Logan had already completed the entire game and they have been returning to different part of the game to play again.  Logan can recall the challenges at different levels and will warn Stuart ahead of time.  The other day he even remembered that Katie was playing with him on that level when their family was visiting over 5 weeks ago.  Sometimes Logan complained about repeating the levels for the forth or so time as I guess some of it was getting a bit repetitive.

   Today Stuart broke out a new game for them to start, Lego Star Wars.  Logan was excited to see the new scenes and characters.  After nap today, I heard Logan talking so much about how to play the game with Stuart and he was already talking about R2D2 and C3PO.

    Due to Logan’s recent interest, Stuart had purchased two posters to decorate Logan’s room, Raider of Lost Ark and Star Wars.  Logan likes looking at them each night while putting on his PJ’s.  Stuart said they even had a good laugh tonight about them as Logan teased Stuart about not remembering the theme to Star Wars, and tried to confuse his dad by humming the Raiders tune.

     We had our photo shoot in the city this afternoon, so we planned for an earlier lunch and nap.  We had already packed the car with clothes and snacks in the morning.  We woke Connor up after 2pm, changed ourselves quickly and left the house by 2:20pm.  The traffic was heavy and so it took slightly over an hour and half to get to our destination, Crissy Fields.  We got to the parking lot right at our scheduled time and the photographer was already there.  We took a few more minutes to find a space and to change the boys before meeting up with her.  It was a beautiful day in the city today; we had a nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge.  We followed the photographer’s lead to walk from the field to the beach, then back to field to take photos.  Connor was relatively easy, following what we asked him to do.  Logan, on the other hand, did not really like to pose for her.  He did not smile on demand and so we had to resort to tackling at times.  We will see how the pictures came out later. 

    After we said goodbye to the photographer, we hung out a little bit longer at the area as the weather was so nice and we were prepared with jackets.  The kids enjoyed seeing the water, watching the seagulls and being blown by the strong wind.  After that, we resumed the long drive and grabbed dinner before going home.  By the time we returned home, it was slightly passed their usual bedtime.  The photo shoot turned out to be a day event.
